His Story
From Jeju to the World, and Back Again
Jeju Roots
Nasir's family has deep roots in Jeju — his grandfather ran a flatfish farm on the island. He grew up surrounded by Jeju's volcanic coasts and crystal-clear waters before his family moved to Incheon.
Finding Islam
Growing up in Incheon, Nasir embraced Islam — a decision that reshaped his entire worldview. It gave him a new sense of purpose and eventually drew him back to the island where it all began.
Returning to Jeju
After becoming Muslim, Nasir returned to his childhood island — this time with fresh eyes and a mission. Seeing migrant Muslim workers with nowhere to pray, he built a private musalla in his own home — a story later featured by Arab News.
Hosting the World
What started as hosting a few friends became a movement. Muslim travelers from Malaysia, UAE, Turkey, Indonesia, and beyond now come to Jeju to experience something they can't find anywhere else — an adventure that respects their faith.
