Late April is when Gasiri's Nogsan-ro ??Korea's most photographed canola road ??sits in its tail-end amber bloom with petals dropping by the roadside. The next village over from the villa, ~15 min drive. We catch it on the Day 4 coastal loop after the early-April peak crowds have already left the island.
Late April still holds the year's last snow on Hallasan's upper slopes ??patches of white visible from the Eorimok trailhead, deciduous trees just starting to leaf out below. A flat 30-min boardwalk introduces the mountain without committing to the full climb.
Pyoseon's basalt-pool beach is steps from the villa. Late-April mornings are crisp but the sand is finally warm enough for bare feet at low tide ??a slow optional dawn walk on Day 3 before breakfast, sea-fog lifting as the sun climbs.
