Hallasan Yeongsil maple peak

Late October is maple-color peak on Yeongsil's mid-slopes — the boardwalk trail turns into a corridor of red and amber. We go early in the morning while the air is still cool.

Sariyeoni Forest amber walk

Sariyeoni's cedar-and-cypress trail catches autumn color a touch later than the high slopes — by late October the deciduous patches glow amber against the dark-green needles. ~35 min from the villa, all boardwalk, easy 4 km.

Outdoor BBQ while we still can

Late October is the year's last comfortable outdoor BBQ week — by late November the patio moves indoors. We push the farewell night dinner outside, layered in jackets, with mulled tea.
