Hamdeok Stepping Stone Festival
The mid-July festival on Hamdeok's emerald shallows — water stages, market stalls along the stone path that crosses the lagoon, fireworks one night. We go evening, after the heat.

The year's first post-rain sky, emerald shallows at Hyeopjae, the season just opened.

Every Salamjeju retreat shares the same backbone — villa, halal meals, group activities. These are the moments only this week of the year can offer.

A 5-minute ferry from Seongsan to Udo ("cow island") — Korea's southernmost inhabited islet. Bicycle or walk the 17-km perimeter past white-sand beaches and basalt cliffs, lunch at a haenyeo-run noodle shop. Fully modest, no swim. ~30 min from villa.
Pyoseon and Sehwa coasts still have working haenyeo — the elderly women divers Jeju is famous for. We meet a haenyeo grandmother, hear her story, and have abalone porridge at her family's restaurant.
